Add former National Security Adviser John Bolton to the list of witnesses Senate Republicans don’t want to hear from. 

 

In a leaked excerpt from his soon-to-be-published memoir, Bolton says that Trump explicitly told him that he wanted to continue to withhold aid to Ukraine until the Ukrainians conducted investigations into the Bidens. 

 

This revelation is clear evidence of a bribe -- but Senate Republicans won’t let his testimony be heard. Call your senator and demand a real trial with witnesses and documents.

 

As the trial progresses, Senate Republicans will be faced with a choice: Will they take their cues from the White House or will they take their cues from you, the American people?

 

We expect our senators to carry out a fair trial and we know that a rush to judgment is a cover-up meant to protect Trump rather than protect our democracy.
