To stop taxpayer-funded animal experiments, we must first stop wasteful government spending. To receive fewer emails from White Coat Waste Project, please adjust your preferences.

Taxpayer, if you could trade 30 seconds to save 3,000 lab monkeys— would you?

Perhaps you’ve heard about Charles River Laboratories— the scandal-ridden profiteer who snatches monkeys from the wild and sells them to the U.S. government.

And perhaps you remember “Monkey Island.” The White Coat Waste Project first exposed how thousands of primates are held captive in South Carolina and shipped to animal testing labs.

We also exposed how the National Institutes of Health (NIH) pays Charles River to “care” for these doomed primates. Here’s the fruit of their labor:

“Thirty dead monkeys were essentially cooked alive after someone left the heater on.” - CBS News

Taxpayer, we should not be paying Charles River’s negligent profiteers to abuse the animals on Monkey Island.

Now here’s the opportunity: their contract is up for renewal right now. This is our best chance to cancel it and save 3,000 monkeys from needless suffering!

3/26 Deadline: please sign our NEW taxpayer’s petition to cancel the NIH’s Monkey Island contract!

Taxpayer, here’s what you need to know:

  • Paradise to Pain Pipeline: A monkey is ripped from the island, shipped to a government lab, and infected with the Ebola virus. No pain relief. No anesthesia.

  • Water Deprivation: She’s not allowed to drink a single sip! It’s how government white coats force her to cooperate.

  • Death is Slow and Agonizing: She goes into shock as her organs shut down. Then she bleeds out of every orifice.

  • Your Tax Bill? $16.7 million! (payout #HHSN272201800009C)

Taxpayer, you pay the IRS. But Charles River cashes the check!

Hard Government Deadline: If enough taxpayers speak up before 3/26, we could cancel this contract. Will you sign our petition to help cancel it?

Cancel the Contract >>

Let’s be clear about something: NIH isn’t following the science. It’s following the money.

Let’s be clear about another thing: taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to pay corporate profiteers like Charles River who abuse animals!

The solution is also clear: Stop the Money. Stop the Madness!

Taxpayer, if you agree, please sign our new taxpayer’s petition before the deadline.

Thanks,

Mackie Burr

Vice President

White Coat Waste Project

P.S. Taxpayer, 3/26 DEADLINE: If the NIH renews this payout to Charles River, 3,000 monkeys will be held hostage and tortured for another five (!) years. Please sign here to cancel the contract. It takes less than 30 seconds. – Thanks, Mackie

Taxpayers shouldn't be forced to pay $20 billion+ for wasteful government animal experiments.
