Good evening, John – In January, the 88th Session of the Texas Legislature began. Every other year, Texas legislators meet for 140 days to pass laws impacting all Texans. During a legislative session, Texas Scorecard spends thousands of hours covering all of the important news at the Capitol. It’s a lot of work, but nobody else is covering the stories real Texans need to know. Maintaining a full-time presence of citizen-focused journalists watching our legislators doesn’t come cheap: we will spend more than $50,000 to cover breaking news, produce video updates, and interview the legislators making decisions impacting people like you. But if Texans are to be effectively engaged, they must be fully informed. That won’t happen when Texans get their news from people who hate them. Will you chip in $200, $65, or even $20 today to make sure liberty-minded journalism is accessible for all Texans? From backroom deals to late changes on important legislation, our state lawmakers often do everything they can to limit your liberty and expand the government's authority. Together, we will not let them get away with it! For Texas,
P.S. The Texas Legislative Session is halfway over! Will you help us cover everything going on at the Capitol by giving just $40? |
