John,
We’re now just two weeks away from one of the most important Election Days of this year, when voters will elect a Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice and the next Mayor of Chicago.
Whoever wins these closely fought races will have a massive impact on the lives of working people. And with early voting kicking off this week, we need to do all we can to reach as many voters as possible.
Can you pitch in to help us reach more voters in Chicago and Wisconsin, let them know what WFP candidates are fighting for, and grow the progressive infrastructure we need in order to keep winning?

In Wisconsin, WFP-endorsed Janet Protasiewicz is facing off against Dan Kelly, a staunchly anti-abortion election denier who would protect the conservative majority on the state’s highest court. If Kelly were to win, there would be disastrous consequences for Wisconsinites on issues of abortion access, gerrymandering, voting rights, and more — and potentially disastrous consequences for the entire country if he were to put a free and fair presidential race in 2024 in jeopardy.
Meanwhile in Chicago, WFP-endorsed Brandon Johnson — a former public school teacher and union organizer — is facing off against Paul Vallas, a Republican in disguise with a history of undermining public schools in New Orleans, Philadelphia, and Connecticut. Vallas wants to do the same in Chicago — as well as dangerously expand the powers of the police, loosening regulations that protect our communities and revamping the background check process to let in prospective officers previously deemed unfit.
It’s no surprise that dark big money is showing up in both of these races. Already this month, a MAGA-aligned super PAC dropped $3.2 million on TV advertisements to prop up Daniel Kelly in Wisconsin, and a new PAC was just created for the purposes of boosting Paul Vallas’s campaign in Chicago.
We can beat Daniel Kelly, Paul Vallas, and the dark money bolstering their campaigns. But with voting already underway, we’re running out of time to reach voters about what’s at stake in these elections, and how they can make their voices heard. Pitch in now to fuel our voter turnout efforts in Chicago and Wisconsin and strengthen our progressive movement.
