Another day, another tell-all book and still an inept and dangerously irresponsible Senate majority. Former National Security Advisor John Bolton’s book was leaked last night, proving again, that Trump withheld aid to push Ukraine to investigate Biden.
Senate Republicans have actively blocked Bolton’s testimony. Just days ago, they voted down an amendment that would require Bolton to testify in the Senate impeachment hearings. They also voted down 9 other amendments that called for documents from the Administration and testimony from other witnesses.
It’s clear that the Republican majority in the Senate isn’t interested in the truth. They are interested in protecting our incompetent, reckless and dangerous President at all costs. That’s why we have to change our representation in the Senate and elect representatives who will stand up for what’s right.

Half-measures by Senators Susan Collins and Mitt Romney who say they, “would prefer to hear from witnesses,” isn’t enough. Transparency isn’t a partisan issue. The systems of checks and balances shouldn’t stop at the party line.
Our President and an entire political party are gaslighting the American public. We have heard from Trump himself, multiple officials, and various witnesses that Trump pressured a foreign government for personal political ends.
We deserve transparency. We must demand to hear these witnesses’ testimony. We must demand the immediate release of the subpoenaed documents. Time and again Senate Republicans have refused to do their jobs.
