Dem AGs across the country have been stepping up to protect abortion access in their states.
Most recently, New York Attorney General Tish James teamed up with Gov. Kathy Hochul to remind pharmacies that abortion is a protected right under New York state law and that there are no legal reasons why medication abortion pills like mifepristone can’t be dispensed in New York pharmacies.
This fight comes right on the heels of dozens of Republican Attorneys General threatening legal action against large pharmacies if they distribute abortion medication to customers.
We can’t sit back and allow these threats to scare pharmacies into submission. There are three Republican-held AG seats up for election in 2023. The more Dem AGs we elect, the more protection we’ll have against these outlandish abortion bans.
