Our speaker's bureau continues to grow as more criminal justice professionals join our mission, and we continue to partner with organizations pursuing mutual goals. In 2022, we added new members to our board of directors, and for the first time in three years, our staff and board were able to gather in person — strengthening our "LEAP family" bonds. We were so grateful to be able to spend time together, reflecting on our work and setting goals for the year ahead. In 2023, we will mobilize speakers in key states, working with policymakers and our justice and drug policy reform allies to move better policy forward. And we will continue to expand our Community Responder Model, working with cities across the country to keep communities safer and healthier, providing the right responder to every 911 call, and freeing up police resources to address the most serious crimes. We will continue speaking out, forging ahead to fulfill our shared vision of a world in which criminal justice and drug policies keep our communities safer and more united, prioritizing accountability, transparency, and compassion throughout the justice system. |
