Two weeks ago, I sat down with Sen. Keith Perry and Rep. Chuck Clemons’ office with volunteers from Moms Demand Action.

We brought them the facts:

✅ 2,849 Floridians were shot and killed by a gun last year - twice as many were wounded and survived.

✅ Gun violence is the number one killer of US children and teens.

✅ States saw a 13-15% increase in homicide rates after passing permitless carry laws.

And urged them to oppose the permitless carry bill which would:

❌ Allow anyone to conceal carry a firearm in public, with no permit, safety training, or background check.

❌ Downgrade knowingly carrying a firearm in a "sensitive area" (schools, gov't building) from felony to misdemeanor.
