We want to make sure you’re up to speed on the most recent attacks on women’s rights in our country, John xxxxxx.
While we wait for the abortion pill ruling out of Texas, which will likely limit access nationwide, (including in states like New York where abortion is legal), Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon just signed a bill making Wyoming the first state in the nation to outlaw ALL pills used for abortion (which are also used for miscarriage management). And in the same week, according to AP News in Florida, legislation is moving through the Florida House that would ban the discussion of menstrual cycles and any related topics in elementary schools.

According to CBS News, an Idaho hospital (the only hospital within a 46-mile radius) will no longer provide labor and delivery services due to doctor shortages, the “political climate”, and the increased criminalization of physicians.
American doctors, who are some of the best and most well-educated medical professionals in the world, are, understandably, afraid to treat pregnant patients. This means American women – even those who are carrying wanted pregnancies – are running out of places to go for safe medical treatment.
It is not an overreaction to point out that WOMEN WILL DIE as a result of these bills. Help us ensure more pro-choice, pro-women WOMEN are in the rooms where these decisions are being made. Chip in $25 right now →

This seems like a good time to point out that only 3 out of the 50 state senates in America have achieved gender parity. That means that the laws coming out of these states are generally being written by rooms full of MEN.
This is a dangerous time to be a woman in America. Laws are being introduced (mostly by male politicians) that would criminalize the act of seeking or performing essential health care – including a South Carolina bill that proposes the death penalty for women who obtain abortions. Now we are watching as hospitals are rendered unable and unwilling to deliver babies as a result.
We need women in the rooms where decisions about our bodies are being made. That is why we are dedicated to electing progressive, pro-choice women up and down the ballot, but we cannot do it alone. Will you help us fight back against these extreme anti-abortion laws by electing pro-choice women nationwide? Please rush $25 or whatever you can afford immediately →
