Friend-

The Biden Administration is taking comments from the public about its plan to bring back an asylum ban — a new version of one of the most restrictive, anti-asylum seeker policies of the Trump era.

But, we only have SIX DAYS LEFT to make our voices heard. The Biden Administration was required to open this issue to a 30-day public comment period — and that ends on March 27.

Will you submit a public comment RIGHT NOW telling the Biden Administration how this asylum ban will hurt immigrants and asylum seekers?

The Biden Administration's proposed asylum ban abandons the United States’ fundamental post-World War II commitment that people seeking refuge and asylum will have at minimum a fair chance to seek it on U.S. soil. This proposed ban effectively eliminates that opportunity for the vast majority of people from ever applying for asylum.

We can — and must — do better than this restrictive ban.

Today, FWD.us and our partners are participating in a Digital Day of Action to make sure that everyone who believes that this proposed asylum ban is harmful and massively restrictive — can make their voices heard. Will you join us?

Make a public comment to the Biden Administration and tell them how this asylum ban — a new version of one of the most anti-asylum seeker policies of the Trump era — will hurt immigrants and asylum seekers.

We believe that families belong together and deserve to access a safe and orderly process. The U.S. must create more legal pathways for people to seek safety and relieve the pressure at the border.

Thank you for taking urgent action for immigrants today,

FWD.us Team
