Hey John,
The Moore-Miller administration has been in office for two months, and we haven’t wasted a moment.
Here’s an update on what we accomplished in just the last week together →
I’m thrilled that our first bill, the Family Prosperity Act, passed the House. It will make the earned income tax credit for 400,000 Marylanders permanent and expand the child tax credit to over 40,000 Marylanders, bringing us closer to ending child poverty in the state of Maryland.
I also announced action to accelerate our state’s transition to clean cars by 2035. Car exhaust is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in Maryland, and we can cut drastically that by ramping up our move to electric vehicles by making them cheaper and building more charging stations across the state.
We’re moving fast to act on climate, end poverty, and create opportunities for work, wages, and wealth for every Marylander — and we ain’t slowing down!
Of course, none of this would be possible without your support. Thank you, Maryland, and let’s keep it up.
Elevate,
Wes
