Friend,
Walgreens is still refusing to reverse its position on dispensing the
abortion pill in more than 20 states -- but the pressure is building.
California has been making a huge impact on convincing the Fortune 500
company to change its mind, as Governor Gavin Newsom canceled a $54
million contract with the corporation.(1)
Newsom’s action has inspired a national coalition to call on President Joe
Biden to do the same thing and cancel the more than $155 million in U.S.
government contracts with Walgreens and any other contract it has with
pharmacies that refuse to dispense mifepristone.(2) Will you help boost
that call?

Walgreens is the second-biggest pharmacy in the nation, with more than
9,000 stores that serve 8 million customers every day.(3)
So when the corporation decided to cave to red-state governors and agree
not to dispense the abortion pill -- even where it’s legal! -- Walgreens
put millions of women’s health care at risk.
Courage California has organized more than 17,000 people to boycott
Walgreens, and we are funding a billboard outside Chicago where the
corporation is headquartered. We need to let every corporate pharmacy
interfering in women’s health care know that they can’t get away with it.

pharmacy that refuses to dispense the abortion pill!
