In case you need a reason to smile.

Dear community,

From trans youth, to you: a beacon of hope and joy in these trying times.

As we navigate this particularly difficult time to be a trans or nonbinary young person in the U.S., we have launched the Trans Youth Joy Zine in collaboration with Gender Justice Leadership Programs. Will you share this zine with three friends today on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram to amplify trans joy?

Each page shares a unique experience and perspective about what it means to be a trans young person today.

A group of transgender young people of various races, hair colors, and styles, some waving trans pride flags or wearing shirts with the trans symbol standing around and smiling on a dark yellow background with a lighter yellow border. In front, one holds a cardboard sign reading "Protect Trans Kids." The title at the top in black reads “trans youth joy” on white rectangles. The title is surrounded by green glitter star confetti. In the top right corner in smaller black text, there are the words “A Spring 2023 Zine.”

This incredible multimedia collection of trans storytelling lives on social media and our website, and features video, audio, photo, painting, drawing, digital illustration, poetry, short form writing, and more.

We hope that in the midst of unrelenting attacks on trans lives throughout the nation, you’ll share this zine to spark some much-needed joy.

With gratitude,
Serena Daniari
