Just making sure you got my email last week about President Biden’s plan to reinstate an Asylum Ban. Right now the federal government is taking comments from the public into consideration before making their decision to reinstate. Were you able to leave a comment?
✊Today is a national day of action for thousands of people across the country to send in comments before the public comment period comes to a close on March 27th.
It’s crucial that the government is flooded with opposition so they get the message loud and clear that an Asylum Ban is not acceptable! So will you check out my email from last week and leave a comment of your own today?

As hard as Biden tries to separate himself from the Trump administration’s policies restricting asylum, the facts are clear - this proposed Asylum Ban will separate families and disproportionately affect Black, brown, and indigenous asylum seekers all the same. That’s why we’re asking folks to join us in submitting a comment to stop the Biden Administration from banning asylum seekers! Can you take action with me today?

People should be free to move under any circumstances - especially migrating to escape violence, persecution, and starvation. The federal government will be reading each individual comment to inform their decision on reinstating the asylum ban or not. Sending in your own unique comment is a super quick way to take high impact action against Biden’s asylum ban by March 27th.
