Public Notice: Application for Source Material Amendment - AUC, LLC, WYSUA-1602, TFN 7 5/082
The AUC LLC of 500 N. Shoreline Blvd. Ste. 800N Corpus Christi, Texas, 78401 has applied for an amendment of its Source Material License No. WYSUA-1602 (Amendment 1) from the Land Quality Division of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality. The license area for the mining of uranium is located in: All or portions of Sections 1 and 12, Township 42 North, Range 74 West; All or portions of Sections 5 and 6, Township 42 North, Range 73 West; All or portions of Sections 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 and 34, Township 43 North, Range 73 West; All or portions of Sections 35 and 36, Township 43 North, Range 74 West, Campbell County, Wyoming. The Reno Creek Project license area encompasses approximately 6,057 acres. The Reno Creek Project lies approximately 10 miles west of Wright near the intersection of WY Highway 387 and Clarkelen Road. This area can be found on the Baker Spring and Rattlesnake Draw USGS quadrangle maps. The mining operation has not yet begun operations. The land, after mining, will be reclaimed and returned to landowners for unrestricted use. The purpose of the License amendment is to incorporate the property known as the North Reno Creek Project AUC LLC acquired from Uranerz Energy Corporation into the License. This amendment will add additional Production Units to the Reno Creek Project Mine Plan.
The Department of Environmental Quality has issued a Pre-Decisional State Decision Document to approve the license amendment application. Information regarding this initial draft decision and the application may be reviewed in the Office of the Land Quality Division, Department of Environmental Quality in Cheyenne or the Campbell County Clerk's Office, Wyoming. A complete index sheet identifying all proposed changes is included with the amendment application available for public viewing along with the initial draft decision. Written comments or objections to the proposed license amendment must be received by the Administrator of the Land Quality Division, Department of Environmental Quality, 200 W. 17th Street, Suite 10, Cheyenne, WY 82002, before the close of business May 11, 2023. Objections may also be submitted by the same deadline via the Land Quality Division?s electronic comment portal at [link removed]. Only the North Reno Creek Project amendment is open for public review. If an objection specifically requests a public hearing with the Department and is found to be an aggrieved party as defined in W.S. ?35-11-103(a)(vii), a public hearing shall be held after the final date for filing objections. The Wyoming Oil and Gas Commission will be mailed a copy of the application mine plan map as required in W.S. ?35-11-406(j).
