John,
A few years ago, we retired and moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The warm weather, low taxes, and affordable housing convinced us to leave our home state to make South Carolina our new home.
Things were great, then inflation hit. In the last year we both have gotten jobs and now pay much closer attention to our spending than we imagined when we first retired. Sadly, our story is like that of millions of Americans.
Neither of us are very political. We both vote in most elections – but admittedly have missed some. We have voted for Republicans and Democrats, sometimes canceling our votes out! Right versus left, we don’t really understand the difference – we both want to support people who we believe will do the right thing.
A couple weeks ago we were sent an invitation to a campaign launch event in Charleston. Neither of us had ever been to a political event before and we had a gift card to Marriott, so we decided to head down and spend some time exploring Charleston and attend the event. We were blown away by the excitement leading up to and through the event. After her speech, Nikki spent an hour meeting people and thanking them for coming.

As new South Carolinians, we didn’t know much about Nikki Haley, but she convinced us that she is the right woman to be President.
We may not agree on every single issue, but we have confidence that she will do what is right. She will fight to protect social security for retirees. She will hold China accountable. She won’t let our government bailout big banks that take risks. She will let us leave our children and grandchildren a better America. Nikki Haley will be a President that we can all be proud of.
We are not rich. We have worked for everything we have. Our government today seems to want to punish people like us. Those of us who spent decades working hard to build a better life for ourselves and our children are now unable to get ahead. We are now falling behind. We need people in Washington who will look out for us. We know that Nikki will do that. We are proud to support Nikki Haley for President!
