Friend,
Twenty years ago today, American President George W. Bush launched the cruel and deranged invasion of Iraq. This wildly expensive crime against humanity left 100,000 Iraqi civilians and over 5,000 Americans dead, not to mention a middle east that was more destabilized than ever1. Two decades later, we still haven’t learned our lesson. Tell Congress that we need to prioritize the well-being of Americans over violent and expensive invasions. Tell them to pass the People Over Pentagon Act (H.R. 1134)!
Americans are told every day that there isn’t money to invest in the programs we need to improve the healthcare crisis, the childcare crisis, and the crisis . Meanwhile, our annual military budget is currently $858 billion: more than China, Russia, and the next seven countries combined!2. Add your name, and let our elected officials know that America is more than a war machine! Urge your members to prioritize the well-being of Americans over violent and expensive invasions. Tell them to pass the People Over Pentagon Act immediately!
