A new report from the UN shows that our world is on pace for climate change to become increasingly unmanageable — causing serious damage to communities all over the globe.

We’re already seeing this. In fact, we’ve already spent billions of dollars cleaning up climate-related disasters.

We also know what the path forward should look like: Shifting to a clean energy economy and holding Big Oil accountable.

We have made significant progress on the transition to clean energy, but we’ve been met with intense opposition every step of the way. Big Oil has been waging a disinformation campaign against the American public for decades now — all while pouring billions into new oil and gas investments that will keep us locked into fossil fuels. They are pushing us closer to a climate catastrophe for their own bottom line.

It’s unacceptable, and we must fight back. I hope you’ll add your name alongside mine as we demand Congress take action to hold Big Oil accountable, while continuing the push for clean energy jobs and more solutions to the most daunting crisis we face:

I am grateful for the steps we’ve taken — here in Minnesota and in Washington — to address this crisis. But it’s clearer than ever: this crisis demands serious, sustained action, and it demands we hold harmful actors in the space accountable.
