Friend,
As you've
probably heard, a Texas judge is deciding whether or not to ban
Mifepristone, the pill that is used for medication abortions, as well
as to treat arthritis. Wyoming banned
abortion pills and also enacted a near-total ban on
abortion. These cases are grounded entirely in anti-choice
extremism, not in public health.
Extremists
have also ratcheted up their legislative attacks on reproductive
rights. In South Carolina, lawmakers are trying to classify abortion
as murder, which opens the door to the death penalty for people who
terminate their pregnancy. In Texas, doctors are having to wait until
patients are on death's door before providing life-saving care because
the laws are so restrictive.
These
extremists may be emboldened by the Dobbs decision, but I know our
movement is stronger. Voters proved that they're ready to fight for
their rights, but we can't slow down now. Will
you chip in today so we can build the momentum we need to elect
pro-choice champions in 2024?
DONATE
Clearly
Republicans aren't backing down — which means we need to be stronger
than ever. I'll keep fighting to defend reproductive rights, but
I need you by my side.
Best, Ted
