My name is Nikki Haley.

I wanted to tell you a bit about myself and why I'm running for President of the United States. After you get to know more about me, I hope you'll consider joining my team today.

I'm the proud daughter of legal immigrants. We were the only Indian family in our small, rural southern town. My dad wore a turban. He still does to this day. My mom wore a sari. Nobody knew who we were, what we were, or why we were there. I was a brown girl in a black-and-white world.

Every day, my family faced stares, whispers, suspicion, and exclusion. Not every day was great. But every day was better than the one before.

I started doing the books at my mom's store when I was just 13. After graduating from Clemson with an accounting degree and working in the corporate world, I came back to the family store.

I saw how hard it was to make a dollar and how easy it was for the government to take it away. When I mentioned my frustrations to my mom, she said: "Don't complain. Do something about it."

So I did. I ran for the state legislature. It wasn't easy.

I was running against a 30-year incumbent. No one said I had a shot.

A week before the primary, I was polling at 15 percent. But together, we fueled a grassroots campaign, took on the status quo, and won. Then, I immediately got to work for the people of my state.

After I served in the state legislature, I ran for governor. I was the underdog. I was the least funded, and least known GOP candidate in the race. But together, we won. Then we cut taxes, created thousands of jobs, and revitalized our economy.

Then, I was proud to serve our country at the United Nations. I told the world that America would have the backs of our allies, and for those who did not have our backs, we were taking names! The dictators, murderers, and thieves at the UN didn't know what hit them.

After I left the UN, I started a grassroots movement to stand for America. I crisscrossed the country to endorse, advise, and financially support more than 60 strong conservative candidates.

So who am I?

I am a proud American. I am the proud daughter of Indian immigrants and a proud military wife. I am a conservative. I am a mom. And soon a mother-in law! I am a runner. I am an unabashed Clemson Tigers fan. I've served as governor of the great state of South Carolina and as America's ambassador to the United Nations…and I'm a grateful citizen who knows our best days are yet to come, if we unite and fight to save our country.

And now, I am running to be your next President of the United States.

We need a leader who has proven time and again that she can rise to the occasion, offer solutions, and focus on serving the people.

I hope you will join me as I embark on this journey and fight for our country.

If you'd like to join my team and help me in this fight, I'm humbly asking for your support today.

My very best,
