Good Evening,

It's Monday, March 20th.

Xi Putin Summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping held more than four hours of talks in Moscow on Monday, kicking off a much-anticipated state visit that represents a symbolic joint stand against the United States and its Western allies, which the two leaders have characterized as, domineering and hypocritical, as The Washington Post reports.

NK Simulated Nuclear Attack

North Korea said Monday it simulated a nuclear attack on South Korea with a ballistic missile launch over the weekend that was its fifth missile demonstration this month to protest the largest joint military exercises in years between the U.S. and South Korea, as the AP reports.

Macron Survives

The French National Assembly rejected a no-confidence motion against the government of President Emmanuel Macron, ensuring that a fiercely contested bill raising the retirement age to 64 from 62 becomes the law of the land, as the NYT reports.

Smiles

What happens when Bono and The Edge fly from Ireland to D.C. just to perform a Tiny Desk Concert at NPR a couple of days ago? Ear to ear smiles all around. They invited a teen choir from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C., to accompany them and the result is special.
