Hi team, it’s Nikki. I wanted to reach out to share a little about why I ran for Congress and why I’m in this fight. I hope you’ll take a moment to read this note, but if you’re already with me, will you pitch in $3 to help protect my seat in Congress?

I was born in Peoria, Illinois. Growing up, my parents taught me the value of family, community, and service to others. My grandpa, a union painter, and my grandma, a public school teacher, are the reason I’ve spent my entire career fighting for other hardworking people like them.
As a labor activist, I’ve fought for firefighters, grocery store workers, and meat packers, and I helped lead the charge to pass a $15 minimum wage in Illinois. I saw Illinois working families were struggling, and that’s why I ran for Congress – to make sure their voices were heard.
We fought tooth-and-nail to flip Illinois’ 13th district blue in 2022, but our work has only just begun. Now that this is a Frontline race, the GOP and their dark money PACs will be coming for me with everything they’ve got. And I need your help to make sure I can continue fighting for working families in Congress.
We beat the odds last election, and I know we can do it again – but only if we have the full strength of our grassroots team behind us. That’s why I’m asking: Will you pitch in $3, $10, or more today so I can continue to advocate for working families in Congress?
