Hey there, John!
I want to take a moment to introduce my friend and newest endorsement: Brandon Johnson for Mayor of Chicago.
Brandon is a part of an inspiring national movement that's happening right now in our country. As another fellow educator, he has an intimate understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented to our youth and families.
John, this is our chance to reaffirm ourselves to the fight to elect bold progressive voices to every level of our government. And this means supporting and electing Brandon Johnson as the Mayor of Chicago.
We only have three weeks to pump up our resources and support this campaign, so time is of the essence. If you're ready to get to work, please consider splitting a donation between our campaign and Brandon Johnson's campaign today.
Brandon's campaign reminds me a lot of my own campaign back in 2020. We were up against a 31-year incumbent who was swimming in campaign donations. He was unashamed in his representation of the corrupt corporations and private interests who were constantly conspiring to keep our communities suppressed and oppressed. It was clear that he was never a true representation of our community.
But when push came to shove, we came together, we organized, we mobilized, and we worked harder than ever before to change the tides of our democracy. And now Chicago has the opportunity to do the same thing and elect Brandon Johnson as Mayor so he can bring the change all Chicagoans deserve.
Brandon is a visionary who sees the intersectionality of affordable housing, public health, environmental justice, police reform, and education. He knows that a lack of investment in any of these sectors results in generational disadvantages for our kids. He is a man of great character, intellect, and integrity and I look forward to seeing his grassroots campaign get across the finish line.
Our people-power is our superpower. And together we can make an insurmountable difference. If you stand with us, please split a donation of $3 or more to our campaigns so that we can keep up this necessary work together.
Peace and love,
Jamaal Bowman
