Hi John, This is awkward, but…National Awkward Moments Day was this past weekend and I missed it…so I’m going to recognize it today. Awkward moments happen to me on our campaign daily, but this particular one from a few weeks ago really stood out to me. I went to a local community council meeting to speak about my candidacy. When I got there, everyone started giving me big hugs even though I didn’t know any of them — it was really nice, but a very rare occurrence in politics! In between all these hugs, I started asking if I could speak with the president of the community council. It was then that we all discovered that the meeting I was supposed to be in was on the second floor of that building…and that I had accidentally come to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. So I went upstairs to the community council meeting and there weren’t any hugs. 🙁 So yeah…that was awkward. And now, in order to further celebrate “awkward moments day,” I’m going to awkwardly ask for you to donate money to our campaign. Please contribute today and help us out!
