We need to call out Ron DeSantis for what he truly is: a fascist. But I can’t be the only one calling out DeSantis – I’m already facing attacks from the far-right. John, this is the definition of fascism in the Britannica Dictionary: “a way of organizing a society in which a government ruled by a dictator controls the lives of the people and in which people are not allowed to disagree with the government”
Gov. Ron DeSantis is abusing his power and using the state to target and silence political opponents, enemies, dissenters, and marginalized communities. That’s literally fascism.
A lot of people think I’m being too extreme, but we can’t sugarcoat it. By not rising up and calling out fascism when we see it, we risk letting these abuses go unchecked.
We need to say it loudly, and we can’t back down, no matter what attacks DeSantis and his accomplices throw at us.
But we’re going to need a surge in grassroots support and strength in numbers if we’re going to withstand their attempts to silence our movement. So I’m counting on you, John.
