Fellow American,

We learned that the New York Manhattan District Attorney is likely to indict a former President of the United States who is running for office.

It is un-American for the ruling party to use police power to arrest its political rivals. Full stop.

The Manhattan DA explicitly campaigned on investigating former President Trump. This is a textbook case of politicizing prosecutorial power.

The argument that Trump shouldn't be "above the law" is a straw man: the only reason the DA is even considering this case is because it's Donald Trump.

I pray for our country that the DA does the right thing here and drops politically motivated, but it's going to take leaders to step up and demand action against this abuse of power.

Fellow American, will you join me in denouncing politically motivated indictments?

The reason I'm doing this is because the rest of the Republican field has been deafeningly silent about an important issue in the country today.

This is about principle, not a person. This is about our country, not one man.

So I don't care whether you root for Trump or whether you don't: put aside partisan politics in service of preserving our Constitutional republic.

This will mark a dark moment in American history and will undermine public trust in our electoral system itself. The silence from the other candidates is deafening. We need leaders, not lackeys.

I call on the Manhattan District Attorney to reconsider this action and to put aside partisan politics in service of preserving our Constitutional republic, and I hope you'll join me today.

Thanks for standing on the side of principle over politics,

Vivek Ramaswamy

P.S. A Trump indictment would be a national disaster. It is un-American for the ruling party to use police power to arrest its political rivals. I am calling on other presidential candidates Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley to join me in calling on the Manhattan DA to abandon the political persecution through prosecution of the 45th president. Add your name if you AGREE!
