This has me worried, John. The potential impact of the impending medication abortion decision is hard to overstate.

Medication abortion using mifepristone is the most common method of abortion in the country—it's safe, effective and more accessible and affordable than other types of abortion care. If it's blocked, it would impact all fifty states : it would impact people in rural areas and red states, where medication abortion may be the only type of abortion care that is accessible for most people, and it would impact blue states where abortion is largely still legal.

If the Trump-appointed, extremist judge in this case rules the way many are expecting him to, we're going to have our work cut out for us in red and blue states alike to defend reproductive freedom for every body.

And I get it! A lot of people took action and pitched in after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June and ahead of the midterms where we definitively proved that abortion is a winning issue. It's easy to think our work here is done.

But the anti-choice extremists will stop at nothing, so neither can we. Along with trying to ban medication abortion as we know it, anti-choice groups are calling for a litmus test for 2024 candidates that would require them to support a federal ban on abortion and are proposing anti-choice legislation as we speak.

It's in these moments—when too many people are more tuned out from politics—that your support can make the biggest impact.
