Hi John,

Do you want the good news or the bad news?

The bad news is that leading climate scientists have just released a massive report saying the climate crisis is worse than they thought. [1]

The good news is that they say we can do something about it by rapidly getting off fossil fuels and turbo charging investment in renewables. So please can you sign our urgent petition calling on the government to listen to scientists and support renewable energy by lifting the ban on new onshore wind farms in England?

Today’s report should be a warning to our government. Unless we rapidly transition to green energy any hopes of keeping global warming to 1.5 degrees are in tatters and you don’t need me to tell you how catastrophic that would be.

The UK must play its part in the green energy transition, but since 2015 the government has effectively banned new onshore wind farms in England. Lifting this draconian ban would be a great way for the government to start turbocharging our green energy production and help steer us away from climate chaos. [2]

Over 130,000 people have already signed our petition calling on the government to support renewables by lifting the ban, but your name is currently missing. Please can you take a moment to tell the government to listen to the climate scientists on this?

The climate crisis is already here and wreaking havoc across the world. This week alone, one of the worst cyclones ever recorded is causing devastation in Malawi and Mozambique. How many more warnings do our leaders need before they get off fossil fuels and invest in renewables? [3]

The time for dither and delay is over - so please tell the government to act now by lifting the onshore wind ban: [link removed]

Thanks for all that you do,
