John,

Earlier this month, we marked the tenth anniversary of the Supreme Court's disastrous Citizens United decision.

As long as special interests -- including the gun lobby, the fossil fuel industry, and big pharma -- are given free rein to influence our government, our democracy will work for special interests, and not for us. It's past time to change that. That's why I've always rejected corporate PAC money and made fighting for our democracy a priority since I was elected.

Now, after my first year in office, I'm proud not only to have End Citizens United's endorsement once again, but also to have received an A+ rating on their scorecard.

Before our first end-of-month deadline of the year, will you contribute $5 to help us show once again that our people-powered campaign can defeat dark money?

We will never have a government that works for our families until we get dark money out of our politics.

Since coming to Congress, I've worked hard to undo the damage caused by Citizens United. One of the first bills we passed in the House was the most sweeping anti-corruption bill in American history to reform our elections, disclose funding sources, and return our democracy to the people.

But we still have a lot of work ahead of us to strengthen our democracy. Dark money groups are planning to spend big to help Republicans take back the House, and our district is one of their top targets.

Will you pitch in $5 before our end-of-month deadline and help us keep fighting to get dark money out of our elections?

Thank you,

Kim
