This coming Thursday (23rd March) our Job Centre Plus and I are jointly hosting Gloucester's first 50PLUS Choices Event from 10am-2pm at Gloucester Guildhall.

With more than 30 partners to discuss both work and community opportunities - including ASDA, NHS, 'Friends of' groups, U3A, GlosCol and many others - you’ll be surprised at what older residents are already doing & the range of new work, volunteering or social opportunities out there for you.

There’ll also be support sessions from the Adult Education Team, the Glos Skills Hub (on online applications) and DWP on support you may be entitled to.

It's an exciting time for Over 50s, with the new ‘returnerships’ (apprenticeships for mature workers) and more support to get active.
