John,
For generations, the labor movement has enabled Delawareans to earn better wages, retire with more security, and benefit from safer workplaces. Now, as wage inequality continues to leave workers and middle-class families behind, the right of workers to organize and stand together must be protected.
That's why Chris is excited to reintroduce the Protecting the Right to Organize Act! This comprehensive legislation will strengthen protections for workers’ right to organize a union and bargain for better benefits and working conditions.
The PRO Act will ensure that workers are protected at every step of the unionization process. At the beginning, it will empower workers to exercise their right to organize and protect workers who suffer retaliation for exercising their rights.
It will also ensure that employers are held accountable for violating workers’ rights by closing loopholes that allow employers to derail the bargaining process or interfere in union elections.
Passing this bill will be a great step toward strengthening our unions and ensuring American workers can thrive in the workplace. If you agree it's time to protect the right to organize, join Chris by signing our petition today →
Thank you,
Team Coons
