I wish I had better news, John:

Our February fundraising was slow enough that we had to reduce the amount we expect to raise in March.

This would be problematic under ordinary circumstances but, because my campaign took on debt in order to win, this is especially concerning. We haven’t even closed the books on 2022 yet.

I hope that I can count on you to get us out of this hole. My team ran the math and if you made a $3 contribution RIGHT NOW, it would help get our numbers back on track. Will you please help?

I know that it’s March and that lots of folks don’t want to be thinking about elections right now – I don’t want to be either. But until my campaign retires this debt, it’s something I’ve got to focus on.
