FL-27 Newsletter Vol. 118, Issue #11 Dear Friends/Amigos, Thank you for allowing me to bring you this brief weekly update. This week, I was back in Miami meeting with constituents, small business owners, and community organizations to learn more about the issues impacting our community. From the joys of seeing new Americans join our FL-27 family, to giving you the facts out of what's happening in Washington, representing our community is a great honor. As always, I invite you to connect with me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, to get the latest from Washington and from across our district. Sincerely/Atentamente, Maria Elvira Salazar U.S. Representative (FL-27) WELCOME TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA On Thursday, I attended the naturalization ceremony for 55 new citizens of the United States! Miami is a melting pot in every sense of the word, and we are blessed to live in such a diverse and resilient community. As I have always said, the American Dream is what makes our nation truly exceptional. Millions of people from around the world flock to the United States knowing the unrivaled opportunities that our country affords. These ceremonies also serve as a reminder to me, that freedom is never guaranteed. As your representative, I aim to legislate specifically for the goal of keeping America free: free of socialism, free of excessive government intervention, and free of oppression-- in all its forms. If you have never attended a naturalization ceremony, I would encourage you to attend one, it's an experience you will never forget. Click picture above!
