At the end of last week, I hosted an episode of Timcast in my Washington, D.C., office! While free speech is being suppressed by mainstream media and Big Tech, podcasts have become vital in my push to promote America First policies. Americans are exhausted by narrative-driven talk shows comprised of strictly woke ideology. On the show, we discussed many of the problems our country is currently facing — the weaponization of federal agencies against Americans, careless immigration policies, and more. Rather than using our platform as an echo chamber, we engaged in an open discussion of the issues because the American people deserve no less.
While Congress is out of session this week, I spent time in Northwest Florida meeting with my constituents, including members of key community organizations. Preserving the Emerald Coast and supporting Northwest Floridians are of the utmost importance to me. While the Left continues to try and undermine the values I fight unflinchingly to preserve, I am proud to keep working to ensure Northwest Florida continues to prosper.
REP. GAETZ MEETS WITH OKALOOSA ISLAND LEASEHOLDERS' ASSOCIATION
Given Florida's First Congressional District is home to the country's largest military district and the stunning Emerald Coast, it is my responsibility as Congressman to represent Northwest Floridians accordingly. Monday night's meeting with the Okaloosa Island Leaseholders' Association allowed me to listen to Northwest Floridian's concerns.
I share the same concern many residents of Okaloosa County have about offshore drilling directly off the coast of our beaches. In the past, I have been the sole Republican to vote against legislation that threatens Florida's beauty and strategic military-training areas. In addition to blocking harmful legislation, I introduced an amendment to the Strategic Production Response Act that would maintain a 10-year prohibition on oil and gas leasing off the coast of Florida, which was adopted by the House of Representatives. I won't back legislation that uses a few barrels of oil as a justification to destroy our beautiful Northwest Florida beaches, and I refuse to harm critical mission test sites, like Eglin Air Force Base.
Additionally, members expressed their widespread concerns about the Biden Border Crisis, curbing federal spending, and the weaponization of the FBI. I take pride in relaying to my community how my colleagues and I plan to fight back. We must audit the auditors, ensuring we are funding our government responsibly. Far too much money and resources have been allocated to "woke" government agencies that hold ulterior motives against the American people. I will continue to stand up in Congress to oppose legislation that fails to take Northwest Floridians' concerns into account. The answer remains the same whether I'm in the Sunshine State or the Swamp — I will continue to keep putting my community and America First!

Last Friday night, we used Timcast as a platform to inform members of Congress, mainstream media, and the American people of what goes on behind closed doors. Despite the fact that the Establishment is the master of smear and puppeteer of politicians, my allies in Congress and I fight for a new Washington, D.C., unafraid of those who attempt to thwart us.
Under Joe Biden, the American dream has turned into an American nightmare. The top items on Biden's shopping list include funding countries entrenched in conflict and weaponizing federal agencies, while the interests of the American people are ignored. It is a slap to the American taxpayer's face when politicians authorize the construction of a new FBI headquarters, which just so happens to be larger than the Pentagon. One can only speculate about how much power Democrats will gain by choosing to construct a palace for a rogue government agency. Why is it acceptable for the Biden administration to purchase the FBI a huge new headquarters if it is unlawful for them to bribe FBI agents?
After being tasked with the responsibility of conducting transcribed interviews of FBI whistleblowers, it would be an understatement to say the Deep State is alive and well. I've heard numerous witness testimonies concerning individuals the Biden Justice Department has targeted and smeared. Sadly, Democrats have now decided to double down, targeting those whom have testified against the Deep State's shady investigative methods and weaponized FBI.
Furthermore, it looks like taxpayers will continue to suffer under Joe Biden with the recent collapse of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB). If there's one thing you can count on Joe Biden for, it's to bail out the elite. SVB is the financial wing of Silicon Valley, so it comes as no surprise that Joe Biden has already falsely informed the American people that the situation is stable. SVB primarily donates to Democrats, so of course Biden is pacifying yet another leftist entity with a bailout — and this time, without a vote of the people's representatives.

While in the District this week, I joined Sue Straughn on WEAR-3 to discuss issues tied to the Biden administration. Our conversation included topics ranging from the recent Silicon Valley Bank collapse, veterans' and military families' issues, and the war in Ukraine.
Joe Biden has decided to tank our economy even further by removing risk in the banking sector. While deposits are usually only insured up to $250,000 dollars, the Biden administration has chosen to insure every single deposit made at Silicon Valley Bank. This is a prime example of reckless policy that will harm all Americans through higher inflation. To make things worse, instead of holding a vote in Congress on this issue, the Biden administration ruled on critical financial rules unilaterally.
Furthermore, as I talk with veterans and active-duty families, I continue to hear the same concerns. Biden’s escalation of the Ukraine conflict is not in the best interest of our service members. Instead of sending our troops to war-torn countries based on the selfish motives of the Military Industrial Complex, I will continue to support our veterans and active-duty service members by working to reduce the risk of war.
