I toured Honeywell Deer Valley where we talked about their appropriations priorities, FAA Reauthorization, and advancements to commercial and military technology happening right here in Arizona’s 8^th Congressional District!

It was great to be the first member of Congress to take a test-drive with Honeywell's Aerospace 360 Display, breakthrough situational awareness technology!

Lesko Meets with Blue Cross Blue Shield 

It was a pleasure to meet with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona to provide an update on the work I am doing in the Energy and Commerce Committee and how to ensure Arizonans have access to quality, affordable health care.

Lesko Celebrates American Legion's 104^th Birthday and Receives Commander's Circle Award

It was wonderful to join American Legion Post #145 to celebrate the American Legion’s 104^th birthday! I was also honored to receive the Commander’s Circle Award for my commitment to our brave veterans!

Lesko Recognizes Eagle Scouts

I was honored to present Senior Patrol Leader Abraham Judson and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader Taylor Reid of Troop 1776 with Congressional Recognitions for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout! This achievement is a worthy step toward future leadership.

Lesko Recognizes Oratory Competition Winners

I was also proud to recognize the winners of the American Legion’s Oratory Competition. Congratulations to American Legion Post #145 winner Isabelle Snyder and American Legion Post #128 winner Mary Sannapu! This is a wonderful achievement!

Lesko Tours Mesa Airlines

It was great to tour Mesa Airlines and meet with flight attendants and pilots in training to discuss flight hour requirements for pilots and the challenges regional airlines face.

It was an honor to present Colonel Wanda Wright with a Congressional Recognition for her tenure as the Director of Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services. Arizona’s 8^th Congressional District thanks her for her outstanding support of our veterans!

It was great to tour Walmart in Glendale, AZ and speak with Walmart employees!

GET THE FACTS: Republicans are Fighting to Lower Energy Costs

President Biden's war on American energy production has eliminated American jobs, sent gas and utility prices through the roof, and forced America to rely on foreign countries for our energy needs, undermining our energy security. This is simply unacceptable. Thankfully, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA), Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), Natural Resources Chair Bruce Westerman (R-AR), and Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chair Sam Graves (R-MO) introduced H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act. This critical legislation would increase domestic energy production, reform the permitting process for all industries, reverse the Biden Administration's anti-American energy policies, streamline energy infrastructure and exports, and boost the production and processing of critical minerals. I am also proud that my legislation to disapprove of the Biden Administration's decision to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline was included in this bill. It is far past time we get our great nation back on track by removing the burdensome red tape hindering American energy production. Republicans are hard at work for Americans. We are working to end the hardships caused by the far left policies of the Biden Administration!

Around the District

Monica from our office presented a Congressional Recognition to Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona. We are proud of their commitment to building and repairing homes for those in need across Maricopa County, including Phoenix, Tempe, Glendale, and Peoria, AZ!

Monica presented a Congressional Recognition to CASS Norton and Ramsey Social Justice Empowerment Center in Glendale, AZ, which provides supportive services, medical care, and career advice, and helps Arizonans find shelter. 

Monica also attended the grand opening of Dental Depot’s newest location in Peoria, AZ. Congratulations!

Casework Highlight

A constituent contacted our office after not receiving his eligibility packet from the Department of Labor (DOL), which is needed annually to continue his federal pension. Since there is a specific eligibility window, he needed assistance to make sure his pension was still going to be paid. We reached out to DOL, helped the constituent take care of the requirements, and ensured he continued to receive his pension.

Mobile Office Hours

Our office is hosting Mobile Office Hours on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at the Glendale Main Library in Glendale, AZ from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM AZ Time. Our casework team is ready to answer your questions and assist you with federal agencies.
