Friends, 

Last year, many of us made a choice to put our hearts and souls into flipping the Virginia legislature. You tolerated my emails and facebook posts and we raised $25K for three House of Delegate candidates. Wendy Gooditis and Hala Ayala won tough re-elections and Sheila Bynum-Coleman was central to our overall victory. 

I sought to honor your support by knocking on over 1,000 doors and encouraging others to join me, working with so many of you to canvass and engage in voter contact on behalf of the ideals we share. 

Elections have consequences. Our work is paying off in Richmond: the ERA, common sense gun safety, voting rights, legislation to protect choice, and many other issues we care about have already moved forward. Arlington and Virginia will be better places for so many because of the work we did. 

I write this morning to ask for your help in sustaining and continue my work on the Arlington County Board and on behalf of the democratic values we share.

On Sunday, February 23rd, from 330 to 530 pm, please join me at Sally Hill Cooper's home to raise the funds to continue the work for equity and collect food for Arlington Food Assistance Center.
