Last week, Silicon Valley Bank failed.



That was the second-largest bank collapse in the history of the United States. The situation could get a lot worse if this banking crisis spreads and turns into a full-blown global financial crisis like in 2008.



It’s obvious now that the insane fiscal and monetary policies our governments have pursued over the past three years are starting to backfire.



I have been saying for years that our financial and monetary system is a Ponzi scheme based on constant money printing by central banks, artificially low interest rates, and debt accumulation.



For decades, governments have delt with each crisis by bailing out everybody and kicking the can down the road with costly fiscal and monetary stimulus policies.



They are doing it again with this emerging bank crisis in the US.



Without major reforms, the only choices will eventually be to let the system collapse under the weight of debts, or “stimulate” it by printing money out of thin air to a point where it explodes into hyperinflation.



The Western financial system, including ours in Canada, is built on a house of cards.



Capital has been massively misallocated with artificially low interest rates.



Central banks keep zombie companies alive and unaffordable government programs running with cheap money.



Our wages have not kept up with inflation.



We are getting poorer and our standard of living is going down.



There is only one way to fix this — we must return to sound money.



We must replace the corrupt financial system with a proven system that prevents money printing and unsustainable government debt.



That system is the Gold Standard.



You won’t see the Liberals and the conservatives talking about this issue.



That is because corrupt establishment politicians benefit from the way things are organized.



They can spend money that they don’t have to by your vote.
