To start, I want to extend my heartfelt sympathies to families impacted by this week's landslide in San Clemente.

Residents were evacuated after a cliffside gave way following a night of heavy rain. Fortunately, there were no injuries, and I'd like to recognize and thank the first responders and the City of San Clemente for their efforts to keep our community safe.

I reached out to the White House to push for Orange County to be included in an emergency declaration covering other parts of California. I am pleased to report that our request was approved. More details on how we're responding to this landslide can be found in our newsletter below.
