It’s not complicated, folks. Medical decisions should be made between a patient and their doctor. Full stop.
But the attacks on reproductive rights just keep on coming. Right now, a conservative federal judge in Texas is making his decision in a case that would revoke access to medication-based abortions — and the impact could be huge.
That’s why I’m fighting my heart out to pass my bill, the Women’s Health Protection Act, to finally protect the right to safe and legal abortions under federal law. I reintroduced the bill last week and am leading the charge to get this critical legislation across the finish line.
Last year, Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans stood in the way of the passage of this bill. But if McConnell and Trump could eliminate the filibuster to put three Supreme Court justices on the bench, then we should do the same to pass the WHPA and protect reproductive rights for millions of Americans – no matter what conservative judges and far-right legislators decide.
Every person deserves the right to make their own health care decisions, without interference from anti-choice politicians. If you agree, add your name to my petition calling on the Senate to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act quickly.
Thanks for signing on, folks. No matter how difficult the battle, I’ll never stop fighting to protect reproductive freedom.
