Fight for $15

ADD YOUR NAME:Call out Starbucks' union busting! [[link removed]]
John,
Everyone should have their rights respected. Everyone should have a voice. I joined the movement because I believe baristas deserve better wages and benefits. People say that Starbucks used to be a great company to work for, but it hasn't kept up with that. I don't qualify for the benefits they talk about as ‘leaders in the industry', because Starbucks cut our hours. This fight is not just about the Starbucks baristas, it's about the labor movement as a whole. When we send a message to this corporation others have to listen too, and that impacts all workers.
That's exactly why next week Starbucks shareholders will have a resolution before them that calls for the company to submit to a third-party review of their attempts to silence workers. Tell billionaire and Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz to commit to a review. [[link removed]]
Starbucks has always prided itself on its commitment to ethical practices, but their actions towards workers have been far from ethical. As a company that claims to value diversity, Starbucks should be welcoming our union effort and providing workers with better wages, benefits, and job security. However, instead of valuing workers, Starbucks tries to intimidate us into silence. We cannot let this go unchecked.
Can you show Starbucks' CEO that workers aren't alone by adding your name to demand he respect our right to a union? [[link removed]]
Thank you for showing your solidarity with me and other Starbucks workers.
Gratefully,
Shannon Butler
