I know it’s a Saturday, but I’m thinking about work right now.

Because as the Finance Director for Josh’s campaign for Governor, there are three things that are always on my mind:

1. This campaign will be won or lost on the slimmest of margins. Every statewide election in North Carolina comes down to just a handful of votes.


2. Outside spending will flood our state. I can all but guarantee it. And worse, Republican megadonors and super PACs will try to spread misleading information about who Josh is and what his priorities are.


3. That means our success depends on having the resources we need to combat these dangerous messages and reach voters before the super PACs do. Our ability to do so comes down to how much money we have in the bank.

Needless to say, we have a lot of work ahead of us. And as the Finance Director, I know how important these early months in the campaign are to Josh’s long-term success.
