March is here and together with the arrival of spring we are celebrating the campaigning for the European Action Week Against Racism.

This year we are campaigning from the 20th to the 27th of March, calling the whole Network to share messages and to take action against racism.

BYE BYE BIAS!

European Action Week Against Racism 2023 - BYE BYE BIAS

We want to dedicate this European Week Against Racism to fight biases, using a very explicit motto, BYE, BYE BIAS!

Social, cognitive, cultural biases exist in all of us, influencing our way of looking and perceiving things, causing aversive racism and modern-symbolic racism for instance or other severe forms of prejudice and discrimination.

That’s why we want to help people find their biases, finding ways to be in control and reduce them, allowing us and others to take a more objective and equal look at reality.

TAKE ACTION!

Together we can and we hope you’ll help us share all the contents we are producing for Facebook Instagram and Twitter. There would be cards, infographics and an interactive test, together with our fellow friends and experts' tips on how to re-act and respond to our and others bias, being in control of the impact we want to have in the spaces we live, online and offline.

Like every year we also want to raise the voice of our Network by sharing the actions you have done or planned, so please let us know by compiling the dedicated form here or write to us at [email protected]. We'll make sure to share them amplifying their reach as much as we can.

International unity against racism and the far right on 18 March 2023

World Against Racism and Fascism, a network we proudly take part in and that collect voices and initiatives like ours that dedicate their mission to contrast #racism and #fascism and to promote #humanrights and #socialjustice is launching their traditional call and they're organising rallies worldwide for today, March 18th. The fight against racism and the extreme right in Europe - ONLINE EVENT

Concerning the European Action Week Against Racism, we are gladly sharing the initiative by Aufstehen gegen Rassismus - Stand Up To Racism (Germany), which is organising their third online event of 2023:

Guest speakers include:

– Laura Fernández, a human rights activist from Spain who has been fighting for the rights of refugees at Spain's southern borders for years,

– David Karvala from Barcelona, active in the alliance Unitat Contra el Feixisme i el Racisme - UCFR – Unity against Fascism and Racism – and in the international campaign World Against Racism and Fascism

– Petros Konstantinou from Greece, spokesman of the Greek anti-racist and anti-fascist alliance KEERFA Keerfa Salonikis

All sharing their experiences in the resistance against the

inhuman border regime.
