What to Know: Government efforts to improve outcomes in minority communities continue to fall short.

The TPPF Take: We must focus on improving opportunities—not outcomes—for all.

“We need about skills development programs, how we can get those back into the high schools,” says TPPF’s Richard Johnson. “If they make a choice to go into industry, wonderful. If they make a choice to go into higher education, wonderful. We want to talk about how to close the school-to-prison pipeline.”
