I’m officially running for reelection to the U.S. Senate! The outpouring of support since I announced has been so energizing, and I’m ready to hit the campaign trail all across Virginia in the months ahead.

I’ve been a public servant for a long time -- having served as a missionary, a civil rights attorney, and at local, state, and federal levels for our great Commonwealth. And one thing I’ve learned along the way is that, if I’m going to run for office, I better build a true grassroots team -- because without people like you by my side, I know I can’t win.

Look, we've accomplished a lot together these last few years:

-- We’ve lowered the costs of both health care (including insulin) and energy with the Inflation Reduction Act.

-- The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is the biggest commitment to infrastructure since the Interstate Highway system initiative in the Eisenhower Administration.

-- We’re bringing back American manufacturing jobs with the CHIPS Act.

-- We enshrined protections for same-sex couples at the federal level with the Respect for Marriage Act.

-- And, for the first time in decades, we passed major federal legislation to tackle the scourge of gun violence in our country.

I’m so proud of everything Democrats have delivered for working families. But as folks across our Commonwealth and the country continue to face challenges, I know there is so much still to be done.
