Dear friend of the Living Church,

I write to you having recently returned from Accra, Ghana, where I reported on the 18th Anglican Consultative Council Meeting, the first major Anglican Communion gathering in the Province of West Africa, where representatives from around the world met to discern common mission and paths to deeper unity in the midst of disagreement.

These have been critical months for our Anglican Communion family.

And these have been exciting months for TLC. We recently launched The Living Church Book Club, a monthly round-up of new titles in theology and ministry, and we have more than doubled the size of our digital archives, with plans to complete the work — sharing over 170 years of this Anglican “family album” — in the coming months. We launched a new series of profiles about Episcopal parishes that are beating the odds and seeing major growth in these challenging times, and we’re finalizing plans for three conferences over the next year, as well as pilgrimages to England in 2023 and the Holy Land in 2024. Our subscriber numbers continue to increase, and we ended 2022 in the black, with a modest surplus to invest in new initiatives. And we continue to build, encourage, and support bridges to Anglican unity and faithfulness, from the church pew to Canterbury.

All we are able to do relies on your generous support. In this holy season, when we give thanks to God for Christ’s saving death and glorious resurrection, we welcome your gifts. Help us as we seek to form leaders and build up the unity of Christ’s body at a crucial time in our common life.
