34 Senate seats are up for election next year and Democrats are defending 23 of them! That’s a huge difference from 2022, where Democrats were defending 14 seats and Republicans were defending 21.

And — to make matters even worse — Democrats must defend incumbent Senators in toss-up and red-leaning states! [[link removed]] The GOP knows that defeating Sherrod Brown (OH), Jon Tester (MT), Jacky Rosen (NV), Bob Casey (PA), and Tammy Baldwin (WI) is critical to flipping the US Senate.
