LAUNCHING MY AGRICULTURE ADVISORY BOARD

This week, I launched my Agriculture Advisory Board as we work together to pass a strong Farm Bill that benefits Iowa. Between crop insurance and international trade to biofuels production and rural development, every title of the Farm Bill impacts Iowa agriculture and our economic vitality.

I look forward to working with Honorary Chairman of the board, Secretary Naig, my entire board, and farmers and producers across the 4th District to create sound policy for the Farm Bill that protects the productivity, profitability, and international competitiveness of our agricultural industry.

PROTECTING AMERICAN FARMLAND FROM CHINA

In rural America, our farmland is our most vital yet finite resource.

That’s why I helped introduce legislation to keep China far away from our farmland because American farmland belongs to American farmers.

China's quiet land grab threatens our most valuable resource

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is the greatest geopolitical threat that we face, and their threats have been growing exponentially in recent years. Whether surveilling our nation in our own backyard, committing genocide against their people,...

MY FARM BILL TOWN HALL IN SANBORN

Earlier this week, I continued my Feenstra Agriculture Tour hosting a town hall with farmers and producers in Sanborn to discuss their suggestions and priorities for the upcoming Farm Bill.

We covered everything from my work to reauthorize the successful 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and stop China from buying American farmland to the unfair inheritance tax, biofuels production, and international trade. I also spoke with O’Brien County sheriff’s deputies about the scourge of fentanyl in rural Iowa and the dire need to secure our border.

Meeting with Iowans will always be a top priority for me.
MY VISIT TO AKRON-WESTFIELD HIGH SCHOOL

On Wednesday, during my 36 County Tour, I spoke to FFA students at Akron-Westfield High School and answered their thoughtful questions about my work in Congress for Iowa.

As I told them, they are the future leaders of our state and nation, and their voices matter.
PRESIDENT BIDEN'S BUDGET WILL EXACERBATE POOR ECONOMIC CONDITIONS

President Biden’s nearly $7 trillion budget will pour gasoline on the raging inflation fire that his reckless policies created. The first step to restoring fiscal responsibility in Congress is rejecting this tax-and-spend boondoggle.

Honoring our Commitment to America, House Republicans will protect taxpayers, grow our economy, and end wasteful spending.
Biden's $5 trillion tax gambit catches Congress by surprise

President Biden went big in his $6.8 trillion annual budget proposal to Congress by calling for $5 trillion in tax increases over the next decade, more than what lawmakers expected after the president downplayed his tax agenda in earlier...

Every five years, Congress reauthorizes the Agriculture Improvement Act – better known as the Farm Bill – to protect the productivity, profitability, and international competitiveness of American agriculture.
