Hi john — Tammy Baldwin here. In a moment, I’m going to ask you to split a donation between my campaign and Tina’s ahead of our first public fundraising deadline of the year. But first, I hope you will give me a chance to explain why this donation is so important, especially right now.

At the end of this month, we will close the books on our first end-of-quarter fundraising deadline of the year. The next morning, our team and Tina’s will tally our numbers and send our fundraising reports to the Federal Election Commission.

Shortly after, those reports will be made public — and everyone from Mitch McConnell to Wisconsin Republicans will be looking to see how much we have raised and how many people chipped in over the last quarter.

With my seat up for re-election next year, our numbers will be under close scrutiny. If Republicans think we look weak, they’ll throw the kitchen sink at us to flip our seat in Wisconsin — and the Senate majority with it.

With political pundits already calling me one of the most vulnerable Senators in the nation, it’s so important that we reach our target before the deadline, but right now, we’re falling behind.

So john, I’m personally asking: Will you split a donation between my campaign and Tina’s ahead of our important end-of-quarter fundraising deadline? Anything you can give will allow us to build the resources to win here in Wisconsin.

Thanks for everything.
