📍Linn County (Cedar Rapids) - I toured Mount Mercy University Nursing Clinical Simulation Laboratory and was very impressed by their hands-on approach. I am so grateful for those who are called into the health care profession!
📍Tama County (Dysart) - It was great to visit Youngblut Ag in Tama County to discuss the upcoming Farm Bill and the importance of pushing back against the Biden Administration's WOTUS rule.
📍Poweshiek County (Brooklyn) - I was excited to hear about the new projects coming to Poweshiek County at the Brooklyn Economic Development meeting in January, including a new child care center.
📍Benton County (Keystone) - I stopped at Main Street Bakery & Cafe in Benton County to meet with the owner, Kassie, who told me about the impacts of inflation, regulatory concerns, and staffing shortages.
📍Grundy County (Grundy Center) - I held an in-person town hall meeting in Grundy County. I will continue to hold in-person town hall meetings throughout the district to take your unfiltered questions.
📍Hardin County (Iowa Falls) - I visited several incredible female-owned Main Street shops in Iowa Falls and spoke with business owners who continue to grapple with supply chain trouble, workforce issues, and inflation.
📍Dubuque County (Dubuque) - I visited Centrally Rooted in Dubuque to see the wonderful work they are doing to help promote brain health through creative avenues like music therapy.
📍Delaware County (Manchester) - I hosted a roundtable in Manchester with women in ag, including farmers, agribusiness professionals, and ag educators. Iowa women are leading the way to feed and fuel the world!
📍Butler County (Clarksville) - I joined the Butler County Farm Bureau for a roundtable to get direct input on the upcoming Farm Bill.
📍Worth County (Northwood) - At Kibble Equipment, I saw firsthand how they are working to improve farmers’ livelihoods with innovative solutions, including precision agriculture technology, which is key to increasing crop yields and lowering input costs and environmental impacts. Feedback like this is why I introduced my PRECISE Act!
