Our state Senate’s obsession with keeping us addicted to fossil fuels has gotten out of control.

Just last week, more than two-thirds of our state senators voted to allow the state to control whether YOUR local town or city can switch to clean energy! This is a massive overreach and will ultimately limit clean energy growth. And they have more extreme anti-environment bills in the works.

It’s up to us to stop the nonsense.

Frankly, it’s getting ridiculous – our legislators are wasting time and your tax dollars every time they advance anti-environment legislation that they know will not advance in the pro-environmental controlled House. But even with our allies in control of the House, we need to expose the lawmakers behind these and other anti-environment bills and hold them accountable.

Collectively, anti-environment state Senate bills would undercut the growth of clean energy jobs for Pennsylvanians. They’ll also weaken the ability of state environmental agencies to do the kind of oversight that’s needed to hold polluters accountable.

We cannot allow these lawmakers to give polluters even more power to rewrite the rules to benefit their bottom lines.

Pennsylvanians deserve a healthy environment AND lawmakers who will focus on the issues that the vast majority of people care about – like preventing air and water pollution and transitioning to a clean energy future.
